About Singapore Airlines Cargo

Singapore Airlines Cargo was founded in 2001 and is a subsidiary airline of Singapore Airlines Limited. Being the third largest cargo airline carrier in the world, SIA Cargo operates a 14 aircraft cargo fleet serving 36 cities in 18 countries worldwide.

It is a member of WOW Alliance together with other participating members such as Lufthansa Cargo, SAS Cargo Group and JAL Cargo.

SIA Cargo Flight Operations

SIA Cargo operates from its main hubs located at Singapore Changi Airport, Sharjah International Airport and Brussels Airport.

The airline cargo company manages an 8 billion tonne kilometre capacity and also manages the cargo holds of every passenger aircraft within the Singapore Airlines network.

Finally, SIA Cargo also operates cargo product services connecting all the destinations operating under the Singapore Airlines passenger network.

SIA Cargo Fleet

SIA Cargo fleet are all of Boeing 747-412 aircraft and of MegaArk and Freighter types. The Boeing 747-400 MegaArk freighter features a 110 tonne payload and 8,245 km range which means that it is able to carry far higher payloads, overtaking all other commercial cargo aircraft.

Some additional capabilities of this freighter includes front loading from the nose, systems for regulating the pressure and temperature control systems.
