Air Astana was founded in 2001 and began operations in 2002. The flight company has its base in Astana, Kazakhstan and operates flights from its airport hubs in Almaty International Airport and Astana International Airport.
Air Astana is also the country's flag carrier after the government terminates Air Kazakhstan.
Air Astana operates scheduled flights to both domestic as well as international destinations. With a total combined passenger fleet of 21 aircraft, Air Astana flies to over 28 cities across Eurasia (Europe and Asia).
