About Ko Phi Phi Island, Thailand
Ko Phi Phi, or also known as Phi Phi Island is a small tiny archipelago located within the Krabi Province. It is situated between the large island of Phuket and the western Andaman Sea coast of the mainland Thailand.
The Phi Phi Islands, a very popular name worldwide is part of Thailand's protected maritime park and truly made famous for its beautiful white sandy palm fringed beaches and exquisite limestone monoliths that rise from the Andaman Sea.
There are a few islands in this archipelago and they are namely Ko Phi Phi Don, Ko Phi Phi Leh, Ko Phai, Bida Nok and Bida Nai.
The islands are located around 50 km East of Phuket and about 42 km south of Krabi. In order to get to the islands, one has to ride on a ferry or speedboat from either Phuket or Krabi.
Ko Phi Phi Don meaning "island" in the Thai language is the largest island of the group and it is actually the only island with permanent inhabitants.

In fact everybody should visit Phi Phi island at least once in their entire lifetime. The place has a vibrant nightlife and one can find many dive shops available to choose from.
The beaches in Phi Phi however are not the best Thailand can offer as compared to other parts.
