BOHOL TRAVEL GUIDE AND TOURIST ATTRACTIONS FOR 2024

About Bohol

Scenic Bohol casts an enigmatic charm drawn from the many archaic mementos spread throughout the oval-shaped island. From the Chocolate Hills and the tarsier to 16th century watchtowers and Jesuit Baroque mission churches.

The Chocolate Hills

The Chocolate Hills, all of 1,268 perfectly cone-shaped hills, are undoubtedly the most famous tourist attraction in the province. Among these hills that abound in Central Bohol, two have been developed into top-class resorts.

Bohol's Main Attractions, Tourist Hot Spots In Bohol

Bohol is the perfect arena for scuba diving, kayaking, trekking and cave exploration. For the less adventurous, it offers leisurely pursuits like cruising, swimming, snorkelling or, simply, collecting seashells by the seashore.

Awesome Hills

Chocolate Hills is a series of 1,268 perfectly symmetrical, haycock-shaped hills that rise some 30 meters above the ground. A National Geologic Monument, these unique, rock formations were cast after million years of evolution.
Spread out in the towns of Carmen, Batuan and Sagbayan, the hills are so-called because they resemble chocolate bonbons when their grass cover turns to brown at the onset of summer.

Tarsiers

One of the rare faunas found in the Philippine archipelago, the Tarsier is the smallest primate in the world. It is a nocturnal primate measuring from four to five inches, with a tail that is longer than its body.

Those interested in tarsier watching are always welcomed by the Bohoians to see the famous primate in its natural abode up the hills in the town of Corella.

Dive Into The Deep

One of Asia's finest diving destinations, Bohol boasts of an undersea panorama filled with impressive coral gardens teeming with colourful marine life.

The dive sites of Bohol are noted for their deep, steep walls - the creation of continental shifts during prehistoric times.

Cabilao Island

Cabilao Island in Bohol offers some of the best diving in the country and is particularly noted for sightings of Hammerhead sharks in its deep waters.

Balicasag Island

Balicasag Island in Bohol is a microcosm of all that is great in Philippine diving.
