If you want something a bit out of the ordinary, and away from the pace of the city, come to Belur Temple. The temple is already in ruins, but it is still beautiful. Do dress properly when you come as this is a sacred site.

Bannerghatta National Park

This is another park you may want to visit. It's huge, and you will discover quite a good number of flora and fauna that you never knew. The trees are tall and provide shade as you walk, and you will be accompanied by the sounds of crickets and insects chirping and the smell of fresh rain on leaves.
