PHI PHI ISLAND TRAVEL GUIDE AND TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
About Ko Phi Phi Island, Thailand
There are a few islands in this archipelago and they are namely Ko Phi Phi Don, Ko Phi Phi Leh, Ko Phai, Bida Nok and Bida Nai.
The islands are located around 50 km East of Phuket and about 42 km south of Krabi. In order to get to the islands, one has to ride on a ferry or speedboat from either Phuket or Krabi. Ko Phi Phi Don meaning "island" in the Thai language is the largest island of the group and it is actually the only island with permanent inhabitants.
Phi Phi Island is fast becoming less attractive as masses of tourist pour into this island and also due to the current construction going on on the island.
In fact everybody should visit Phi Phi island at least once in their entire lifetime. The place has a vibrant nightlife and one can find many dive shops available to choose from.
The beaches in Phi Phi however are not the best Thailand can offer as compared to other parts.

The general rule of thumb if you intend to travel by ferry is that the nearer you are to Ko Phi Phi, the more expensive the ferry tickets will get with its peak at 350 baht sold at the pier.
