Corregidor Island used to be a checkpoint for marine vessels entering Manila Bay during the Spanish and American occupations. The island possesses a very good geographical proximity to Bataan and due to its existing inaccurate historical writings, many tend to believe that the rock island has got something to do with the Death March, which came shortly after the Fall of Bataan.

Today however, the island's rich history constantly draw many Filipinos and even foreign tourists alike, making Corregidor one of the most popular tourist hot spots in the South East Asian country. The island has got some of the many historical treasures such as :-
