The Intercontinental Manila has been in Makati. The 5 star hotel offers one of the better deals in town. I believe the rooms have been renovated when we stayed here last (November 2007). It is also very conveniently located near Glorietta and to other major public transit stations, such as the MRT.

The hotel lobby might not be as grand as the other two larger hotels here, but the Intercontinental is a bargain and still meet up to our expectations.

We stayed here for 3 weeks – and as the title says – I simply could not fault it.

I did get treated very well with a room upgrade to Executive Suite, and a free mini-bar. The service is second to none. In fact, sometimes it is almost TOO good and I feel bad that everyone is so willing and does so much for me!

I will be spending a lot of time here while on business in the coming months, and will always stay at this hotel. The local area is excellent. You can find shops, bars, restaurants, everything you could possibly want.

I went to the spa with 2 friends and the total for my FOUR treatments – during which I was pampered for 3.5 hours – came to only around £30!!!

I am pleased as I still cannot seem to find anything wrong with Intercontinental Manila. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotel over the years.

Firstly the staff are very friendly. The services offered has been excellent and prompt. The hotel is exceptionally clean and tidy. There are plenty of cleaners making sure it stays that way.

The rooms are fine – it’s a hotel room – I’m not expecting home. My room isn’t huge but how much space do you need. Extra storage space would be nice but it’s not a show stopper. I have colleagues here with rooms on other floors and again they have no complaints at all.

The gym is generally good though some of the equipment is a little outdated but there are plenty of machines, free weights and CV stuff.

The food has been fine too. i guess this depends on your tastes but you won’t starve. Besides the hotel is located next to supermarkets, cafe’s and restaurants. There’s quite a lot of choices around you.

I’m in one of the upgraded rooms and there’s free wireless internet in my room.
