Tiger Airways began offering cheap low cost flight services in 2004 and the budget airline have Tiger flights from Singapore to multiple destinations throughout Southeast Asia, China and Perth and Darwin in Australia.

However, in order to cope with the sharp increase in travellers movements to India, more and more private operators such as Jet Airways, Sahara Airlines and Kingfisher Airlines have decided to scale up and increase their flight operations at the same time providing cheap flights to India while still offering good facilities.
