Tiger Airways is one of Singapore's low cost budget airline. With its base and primary hub in Singapore Changi International Airport,
the airline is presently the largest low-cost airline (in terms of passengers carried) operating out of Singapore.
Singapore Airlines, the traditional Singapore airline carrier has a stake in the budget airline suspended its services from certain destinations. Macau, for example
used to be operated by SIA before being taken up by its subsidiary SilkAir in the year 2002. Two years later however in 2004, SilkAir terminated all flights completely.
and three months later, the Macau flight route was taken over by Tiger Airways.
Tiger Airways Australia
In February 2007, Tiger Airways officially announced that it hoped to become the third domestic airline in Australia. This will directly compete with
other Australian budget airliners such as Virgin Blue and Qantas/Jetstar.

Destinations
Tiger Airways presently offers flight destinations to 17 destinations in six countries around the region with
Thailand having the largest market taking advantage of the open-skies agreement between Singapore and Thailand.
There are also multiple destinations goin on in South Asia, where Tiger Airways has already begin flying to Kolkata.
